| Colored pencil is starting to absorb me. I worked on this drawing outdoors and in coffeehouses from August 2007 to February 2008. I hope I learn how to do them more quickly, but I love how the colors turn out. This image is the result of an incredible number of layers mixed into and on top of each other. I'm starting to focus on the subtle colors of reflected light more and more. The bounced light gives a really soft warmth to the piece. |
