I wasn't too sure if this was any good. I put it up with the rest of the day's production for Gale and I to review, and she thought it was the catch of the day. Her day had been hard and she was needing a soft space to relax in. She spun a story from the pic about how the red cross shaped marks are people on a cruise ship and the things that I see as moons in windows are, to her, waves and the ocean and they are having a great party dancing on deck.
It reminds me of a time when I was looking at Rothko with some of his family. The cousin I was talking with said that she knew he was important, but she just didn't see it. I went on about how when I turn this painting into words, I am in prehistoric times, in a swampy area with morning mist and a huge dark green dinosaur has just raised his head and roared, that's what these veils of color evoke in me. She said that if I got all that out of it there must be something there.
